Here in Minneapolis most gaffers generally work from rental house trucks from either Cinequipt, Tasty Lighting or Lights On. I am very familiar with their gear, trucks and have good relationships with those houses.
My personal kit is very specialized, comprised of tools chosen specifically for creating complex natural light effects in relatively small spaces like residences, apartments, small stages, etc. I build my own tools, modify many 'standard' tools and use an unusual assortment of others to be able to easily create effects like this:
